An Author Jean Welsh said that people who drink sugary drinks like soda, fruit juices, and other sugary drinks might be at risk of early death. Jean is an associate professor at Emory University school of medicine in Atlanta.
She also mentioned that everyone should try to decrease consumption of soda, fruit juices and other sugary drinks including adults and children.
She and her colleagues collected data on around 13430 men and women with an average weight of 64. Among these participants 71% of people were overweight. The study goes on an average of six years, while 1,168 participants have died.
The team of researchers found that people who drank more sugary beverages (including 100% Fruit Juice) had higher odds of dying in comparison to people who drank fewer sugary beverages.
